UCC Special Appeal for Maui
On August 8, the people of Hawaii woke to high winds from Hurricane Dora blowing across their islands. Within hours those winds turned deadly, fanning wildfires among the islands, leaving behind smoldering buildings and lost lives. The United Church of Christ has issued a special appeal to provide essential items and long-term support to those impacted by the fires. Our gifts will support local UCC congregations providing clothing, food, and shelter and will enable the Hawaii Conference to prepare for long-term assistance for the journey ahead.
