The Edwards Special Collection for the first two weeks in December (12/3 and 10) will go to buy Walmart gift cards for each of the 14 families at Pathways Family Shelter, a congregate housing option in Framingham managed by the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC). Pathways’ staff are on site 24/7 to help the unhoused families who have been assessed as eligible for emergency assistance. Staff help the families to secure permanent, affordable housing, and medical, educational, vocational, and social services. Please help make the holidays a bit brighter for these families in need by donating to the Special Collection on December 3 and 10. Thank you!
On December 17 and 24 you are invited to make a special gift to support The Christmas Fund of the United Church of Christ. The Christmas Fund provides supplementation of small pension payments for retired clergy who often served small congregations throughout their careers. It provides supplementation of health premium costs, to help ensure their wellness throughout their lives. And the Christmas Fund provides emergency grant Christmas “Thank You” gift checks for retirees and those facing financial hardship.
