This month, Christian Explorers will celebrate the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost with flames and wind igniting our Spirits as the giant dove puppet descends in our sanctuary! We’ll also explore some of Jesus’ words to his friends and roll up our sleeves for some service projects. We hope you’ll join us!
Mark your calendar for these special events in May…
- Blessings bags for moms at A Place to Turn. On Sunday, May 5, we’ll be assembling small bags of toiletries as gift to moms, alongside our donations of diapers and wipes for families who need them. Bring small containers of special soaps, hand and body lotions, lip balm, and makeup wipes for this service project!
- Sunday, May 19, is Pentecost! Christian Explorers are encouraged to wear read and be ready to show the Holy Spirit’s movement in your life as we celebrate the birthday of the Church.
- Planting our herb boxes. Spring has arrived, and it’s time to prepare to plant our herb boxes in front of Jonathan House. This month, we’ll see what has come to life in the dirt and start to repair the boxes for this year’s herb gardens.
On Sunday mornings we help begin and end worship in the sanctuary. In between, we move to our own space in Sue Dickerman Hall or downstairs for stories, crafts, snacks and fun with friends. We hope you’ll join us!
