Special Offerings for December – Pathways Family Shelter Gifts and The Christmas Fund
Our Special Offering December 1 and 8 will go to families at Pathways Shelter. Pathways Family Shelter is a congregate housing option in Framingham managed by the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC). Pathways’ staff are on site 24/7 to help 14 unhoused families who have been assessed as eligible for emergency assistance. Staff help the families secure permanent, affordable housing, and medical, educational, vocational, and social services. The Edwards Special Collection for the first two weeks in December will be used to buy Walmart gift cards for each family. Please help make the holidays a bit brighter for these families in need by donating to the Special Collection on December 1 and 8. Thank you!
On December 15 and 22, you are invited to make a special gift to support The Christmas Fund of the United Church of Christ. The Christmas Fund supplements small pension payments for retired clergy who often served small congregations throughout their careers. It supplements health premium costs, to help ensure their wellness throughout their lives. And the Christmas Fund provides emergency grants and Christmas “Thank You” gift checks for retirees and those facing unforeseen financial hardship.
