Special Offerings for January – Hospitality Common, Inc.
Our Special Offering for the month of January goes to support the work of Hospitality Common, Inc., a faith-based organization dedicated to supporting our newest neighbors. HCI offers evening Adult English as a Second Language courses for recent immigrants and also provides a weekly take-home meal for each family involved. They are in the process of purchasing a home in Framingham to be a House of Peace, which will provide much-needed housing for refugees upon their arrival in the area.
In their mission statement, they write, “We build bridges of hope and opportunity through education, volunteer programs, and service opportunities. We are an inclusive organization committed to serving and partnering with people of all faith traditions as well as those having no faith tradition. We believe every human being; however they identify, is made in the image of God, and, therefore, is to be cherished and treated with the greatest dignity.”
