The Music Team is excited to offer a wide variety of opportunities and offerings this fall. We are experimenting with a couple new approaches:
- Knowing that there are talented, enthusiastic singers who are not available for regular Thursday night rehearsals, we are trying a “Rise-Up Choir.” As in, rise a little early that Sunday, come at 8:45 am and learn an inspiring piece of music to offer as our anthem. We will send out the music in advance, sometimes with audio files.
- We also know there are talented, enthusiastic musicians — singers and instrumentalists — who might like to offer special music – a solo, an instrumental, a duet. Our hope is that these special offerings will also take place about once a month.
- The Chancel choir will continue to rehearse every Thursday evening, from 7-8:15 pm. We will focus on strengthening our voices, learning to sing together, and attending to dynamics as we prepare 2-3 anthems each month.
- Of course, we will continue to invite the Morning Glory choir to come up to lead hymns — no rehearsal, no rising early, just bringing the glory of our voices!

Thursday, September 11 – Choir rehearsal, 7-8:15 pm
Sunday, September 14 – First choral anthem of the season!
Thursday, September 18 – Choir rehearsal, 7-8:15 pm
Sunday, September 21 – First ever Rise-Up Choir anthem
Thursday, September 25 – Choir rehearsal, 7-8:15 pm
Sunday, September 28 – “Thursday night choir” singing
