What are we doing?
LGBT Asylum Task Force Monthly Dinner
Many church members gathered on September 7 to chop lots of different vegetables, measure spices, and stir the pot of Moroccan Stew to be served at the Task Force dinner in Worcester the next day. Four members of the church traveled to Worcester to finish preparing the meal. Our members were able to serve the meal to the 50 people in attendance – the meal was enjoyed by all! We were also informed of the many outrageous increases to the fees involved in seeking asylum and their dire need for funding.
ONA Dinner and Service
The JLIA Team was working hard on the 25 Years of ONA Celebrations. The dinner was held on September 20 and there were 48 people in attendance. The food was amazing. There was a wonderful slide show and in-person testimonies with many members expressing their take on what ONA means to them. Then there was dancing, too. A good time was had by all.
The Service on September 28 included a new hymn written by Rob Delossa. The Associate Conference Minister of the North Central Region of the SNEUCC Conference, Carol Steinbrecker, presented a greeting, welcome, and blessing.

Mark your Calendar: Veterans Appreciation Dinner
Sunday, November 9 – 5-7 pm at Plymouth Church
Together with our friends from Open Spirit, Plymouth Church, the Framingham Rotary, and MutualOne Bank, we are honoring area veterans and their families with a special meal. If you are a veteran, we hope you will attend! We need lots of volunteers to support this meal: folks to help with set-up, serving, and clean-up, and many plates of homemade finger-food desserts! Watch for details and sign-ups!
