Chat, Pray, Love with Edwards Church – December

November 26, 2025 by Alexis Ortiz

Sunday Morning Worship

Sundays @ 10 am, In person and via Livestream / www.edwardschurch.org/live, passcode 393939.

Join us every Sunday morning in our sanctuary or on livestream.

Faith Formation

Our youngest members will bring in the light and spend time in the Tent of Meeting or in Sue Dickerman Hall to learn Bible stories, work on songs and crafts, and have fun with our friends.

Absorbing the Warmth of Community and the Sun

Join us at noon on Mondays (except for holidays) in a sunny spot on our campus – or indoors if need be!

The weather is fine (or not)! The conversation is inspiring (for sure)! The group is caring (absolutely)!

Monday Afternoon Book Group

Monday @ 4 pm on Zoom

The Book Group will begin discussing The Woman in the White Kimono by Ana Johns.

Oceans and decades apart, two women are inextricably bound by the secrets between them.

Japan, 1957. Seventeen-year-old Naoko Nakamura’s prearranged marriage would secure her family’s status in their traditional Japanese community, but Naoko has fallen for another man — an American sailor — and to marry him would bring great shame upon her family. When it’s learned Naoko carries the sailor’s child, she is cast out in disgrace, forced to make unimaginable choices with far-reaching consequences.

America, present day. Tori Kovac finds a letter containing a shocking revelation about her father — one that calls into question everything she understood about her family and herself. Setting out to learn the truth behind the letter, Tori’s journey leads her halfway around the world to a remote seaside village in Japan, where she must confront the demons of the past to pave a way for redemption.

The group reads about 100 pages a week, then meets for an hour each week on Zoom for a discussion.

New members are most welcome ~ join us for interesting reading, spirited conversation and laughter!

For the Zoom link, reading assignment, and discussion questions, contact Peggy Harrison at peggyoharrison@aol.com.

Flowers and Fluff of Hope and Healing with Fran Bogle

Tuesdays @ 2 pm via Zoom

This group begins with nature photos as a jumping off place for people to share stories and prayers. Participants are welcome to share their own photos and prayer moments connected to nature.

Email Fran (fbog@aol.com) if you would like to join.
