Sunday Morning Worship

Sundays @ 10 am, In person and via Livestream / www.edwardschurch.org/live, passcode 393939.

Join us every Sunday morning in our sanctuary or on livestream.

Faith Formation

Our youngest members will bring in the light and spend time in the Tent of Meeting or in Sue Dickerman Hall to learn Bible stories, work on songs and crafts, and have fun with our friends.

Absorbing the Warmth of Community and the Sun

Join us at noon on Mondays (except for holidays) in a sunny spot on our campus – indoors in the winter!

The weather is fine (or not)! The conversation is inspiring (for sure)! The group is caring (absolutely)!

Monday Afternoon Book Group

Monday @ 4 pm on Zoom

Our next good book will be The Briar Club by Kate Quinn. It takes place in Washington, DC, 1950. Everyone keeps to themselves at Briarwood House, a down-at-the-heels all-female boardinghouse in the heart of the nation’s capital where secrets hide behind white picket fences. But when the lovely, mysterious widow Grace March moves into the attic room, she draws her oddball collection of neighbors into unlikely friendship: poised English beauty Fliss, whose facade of perfect wife and mother covers gaping inner wounds; policeman’s daughter Nora, who finds herself entangled with a shadowy gangster; frustrated baseball star Beatrice, whose career has come to an end along with the women’s baseball league of WWII; and poisonous, gung-ho Arlene, who has thrown herself into McCarthy’s Red Scare.

Grace’s weekly attic-room dinner parties and window-brewed sun tea become a healing balm on all their lives, but she hides a terrible secret of her own. When a shocking act of violence tears the house apart, the Briar Club women must decide once and for all: who is the true enemy in their midst?

Capturing the paranoia of the McCarthy era and evoking the changing roles for women in postwar America, The Briar Club is an intimate and thrilling novel of secrets and loyalty put to the test.

The group reads about 100 pages a week, then meets for an hour each week on Zoom for a discussion.

New members are most welcome ~ join us for interesting reading, spirited conversation and laughter!

For the Zoom link, reading assignment, and discussion questions, email Peggy at peggyoharrison@aol.com.

Flowers and Fluff of Hope and Healing with Fran Bogle

Tuesdays @ 2 pm via Zoom

This group begins with nature photos as a jumping off place for people to share stories and prayers. Participants are welcome to share their own photos and prayer moments connected to nature.

Email Fran (fbog@aol.com) if you would like to join.

Lunch Bunch (March 4 and 18)

1st and 3rd (and sometimes 5th) Wednesdays @ Noon in Sue Dickerman Hall

Bible Study with Debbie (March 11 and 25)

2nd and 4th Wednesdays @ 4:30 pm (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/254325442?)

The Wednesday evening Bible Study will continue our study of the Gospel According to Matthew.

Coffee & Conversation

Typically, Coffee Hour is the first Sunday of the month. Sometimes it changes, based on the church calendar. The Congregational Life & Special Events Team provides for set-up, clean-up, and snacks. Periodically, another team adopts a month as a way to highlight an event or cause.

We’re a small group and I invite you to join us in providing hospitality for our community by hosting a Sunday or bringing a snack. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have and provide a tour of the kitchen.

Thank you in advance for your thoughtful care and participation. Please let me know when you’d like to host.

I’m happy to help.
