The second greatest commandment, as stated by Jesus in Matthew 22:39, is “Love your neighbor as yourself!

I was nourished at our dinner for people who are working for justice in many, many different ways. Everyone was welcome at the tables set by many friends and our Justice Love In Action team.
As I listened to one man talk about how a Zoom sort of program has helped him reach out to an increasingly diverse community as a therapist, I was nourished by tough love at work in the world.
While I talked with a young woman about how she is trying to bring an ethic of acceptance of diversity into her work place, I was nourished by her energy and willingness to work for change.
When Laura Beck and MetroWest Sings Out sang out I was nourished with laughter, love and words of hope.
I was nourished by the wonderful rice pudding and vegan meal. Love alone is not always enough, and yet when shared through a meal and wonderful new friends it is the fuel that keeps me going.
Loving spirit thank you for neighbors and the love we discover and are renewed by together. Amen
