What are we doing?
Congratulations again to Debbie who received an LGBTQ Excellence in Leadership State House award in June!
The Justice and Love in Action Team did not meet in July or August but we were still busy.
We attended and served at the Juneteenth celebration at Farm Pond on Saturday, June 20.
Edwards Church was well represented at the 250th Celebration, Singing for America, at Framingham Center Commons on July 12. “America the Beautiful” was sung in unison, while Debbie provided attendees with an explanation of the song’s origin.
On Sunday, July 19, the congregation celebrated Myrna with special service music and a special coffee.
We provided fruits and vegetables for the FSU students who live on campus during the summer. We shopped at Market Basket, divvied up the produce, and delivered the items to FSU on Wednesday, August 12.
The JLA team received a very nice thank you note from the folks at the First Parish UU church who coordinated this event.
