Special Offering for September – Support for the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
In the last decade, the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo have lived with multiple humanitarian crises, including armed conflict, mass displacement, food insecurity, and disease outbreaks. In this past year, escalating violence has left families without safe shelter, food, or access to healthcare. Natural disasters like landslides have left over 200 people dead, and the latest Ebola outbreaks are straining an already-fragile health system.
Our special offering will support programs that empower the people of the DRC as they care for each other and work for healing and peace. The Justice and Love in Action Team is researching ways to give that lift up dignity, self-determination, and opportunity. Watch for more details!
